I made this litte doll dress today to test something new (for me) and I found my new favourite sewing technique: shirring!

I already tried it some years ago - but being new to sewing and probably also due to my old machine only caused a big mess and so I did not produce anything useable.

I did a lot better this time and actually already finished the bigger version for my daughter too, which you will (hopefully) see here tomorrow ;-)

I found a great tutorial here and only used a square of fabric for this dress. Red ribbon and two buttons complete the look. I hope my little missy will like her surprise present!
